NCAA Football 25

Unread post by waverider »

I’m looking forward to the jump from NCAA10 to ‘25 so much so that I got a PS5 to play it!!

I’m looking forward to the features which EA Sports says will include unique experiences including “crowd chants”. There is a recording of the Hullabaloo so I’m very hopeful that will be included.

I’m curious if they will use the real Sumrall playbook.

Per Chris Vannini
NEW: EA Sports is informing college football players today who will be in the game.

More than 14,000 players opted in, but only ~11,000 will be in it. Payments begin next week.

Players not selected can still play their way in with an impactful season.

I also went out and bought a PS5 just for this game! I had been playing NCAA14 on xbox360 with regularity since Covid.

I've been playing the College Football Revamped mod of the NCAA 14 game on my definitely real console hardware that exists in tangible space and not a PC emulator for a few years and it's really solid. Though like in the base game, once you've memorized the ways the AI messes up on defense in that game and/or have a dynasty roster built for speed it gets too effortless to score points. I'm excited for the new challenge of learning a fresh new batch of exploits to break this game too.

I'm worried that Tulane will be TOO good to be my starter dynasty program now. I like a challenge. That's likely my 2nd job after I take whatever the worst roster in the game is to the playoff.

I’m still playing 2010 while I wait. I just finished the 2025 season. I bought a used PS3 a week before Hurricane Ida so I could keep playing when my old console died. I’ve been in the Big 12 the past 10 seasons with a couple national championships. Like you, I’m ready for a new challenge. I pride myself on defense (I even had a streak of 3 straight shutouts* in the last season) but I usually have the #1 scoring offense because of it.

*Would have been 4 straight but Texas Tech managed a FG against me.

Wait, I thought you couldn't build success playing in the Dome?

Not only success, but once I became relevant, the Dome became one of the top 3 “Toughest Places to Play”

OK, that's cool and all but do they have the Hullabaloo?
Sports Talk radio and most sports message boards are the killing fields of intellectual discourse.

They did long feature (youtube video) on all the research they did into unique traditions and chants and such and how they included them all in the game to make each stadium authentic and unique. I'd be shocked if they didn't have the Hullabaloo. Heck, we've already seen they included the Battle for the Rag in their rivalries...

I don’t know how video game programming works but if they use a base foundation from the older versions, then I would think anything from those versions would be included. It would have been easy to leave it out but we only have two rivalry trophies with the USM Bell being the other.

Here’s another video

I'll be getting it on Xbox. It will be my son's first NCAA football. That's fun. My wife and I weren't together when the last one came out. She doesn't know what is about to happen.

Someone posted the start for Tulane on Facebook and it seemed to have all the details right, even down to the music they play at kickoff.

The end of your marriage?

I'm not even kidding, I am not buying it because I know myself and it would absolutely lead to divorce. And probably me losing my job too. Best case would be being miserable due to lack of sleep.

Interesting tidbit from the game.

Tulane is rated 82 for overall, offense and defense. K St is 81 overall and offense and 82 on defense
