Wilson Center Renovations

Unread post by tumbuuh »

I don't remember hearing many details about the Wilson Center renovation, but I came across pretty much every detail in the city permits they filed. Here's the full page: https://onestopapp.nola.gov/PrmtView.aspx?ref=6UAM1C. There's a lot on the documents tab, but the 3rd one under "Optional Submittals" has full designs for any of you who are more architecture or engineering-inclined. It looks to me like everything is being updated, including new offices and meeting rooms.

Here are a couple progress photos I found in there that show how much the atrium will change. You can really tell how much is being updated, and the plans show new terrazzo flooring going in there too.

On edit: forgot to mention it also values the updates at $2.9 million.
We praise thee for thy future, Alma Mater;
The vista of its glory gleameth far.
We shall ever be part of thee, great Mother;
Thou wilt be where e'er thy children are.

Has the IPF began construction? Or has it been put on the eternal back burner like it was for Fritz?

Pretty sure construction is starting after students are gone. So another few weeks.

Where will the IPF be located? Also, has a Tulane broken ground on the new tennis center at Uptown Square?

Brown Field.

And yes.
Sports Talk radio and most sports message boards are the killing fields of intellectual discourse.
