yes. outgoing so far.
Add to the outgoing portal 6/5/2024-- pitcher Colin Reilly
Mason Onate
Eli Lirette
Michael Fowler
Chris Diaz
Will Prigge
Will Barter
Barter had a serious arm injury, has been rehabbing in Florida. Hasn't been on campus for several months, since 2023 I believe.

Was told that draft stock dropped for some folks that will prob be around next year and we did the right thing telling them now that their situation would not change next year - prob with the portal and the state of sports is these kids have time lines of when/where they want to be in x years and if they aren’t playing now they feel they are missing their window at the pro’s.

All this being said, heard that we had a couple of transfers who had a strong chance to come over and we’d be very happy.

Jay said before the season none of the freshman were really ready to play, and reading between the lines of other things he said, he wasn't to excited with these guys regardless. He said moving forward it's going to be like 75% JUCO and portal and not many HS kids coming in.

Tulane must have set a team record for lack of freshmen playing. (None??!!)

No judgment here. Recruiting now in time of portal/NIL is just different. So adapt or die.

Whether the recruits are 18 or 21, you need folks who can succeed. If it’s not here, I wish them well elsewhere.

I do know regardless of age or college experience, Uhlman’s one recruiting mantra is “Big guys win.” We will continue to see more recruits with size 16 shoes than size 10.

He should explain that to Ron Hunter.

From your lips to God’s ears. However we have a better chance of getting in the SEC than Hunter changing.

His absolute belief in self and his system is both his strength and his hubris. Maybe he should read and digest “Oedipus Rex.”

Of the three guys Marget, Banks, and Linn; Who is most likely to make it back on campus for their senior year?

(Hopefully all of them come back) :-D

Would be great to have all three back! Banks and Marget are probably threats to be drafted in a decent round, but may not be high enough for them to forgo their senior seasons.

potential coming:
Theo Bryant IV, OF transfer from Tenn. Tech (native of Conley, Ga., just south of Atlanta) has visited Tulane and Coach Uhlman. He is playing this summer with Bismarck Larks in the Northwoods League, batting .397 so far after roughly 20 games. For Tenn. Tech this past season, he hit .265 with 10 HRs and second on team with 41 RBI. On base percentage was .361. One year left in college. He is 6'3", bats right-handed. (Also Bismarck Larks baseball games, many of them, are broadcast on ESPN +)

Randy, thank you.

Any news on pitchers coming and going?

Also, there must be other current players not coming back given the numbers. We have 43 players on the roster as of today. 29 players returning plus 14 high school signees/commitments. If 43 is accurate, it doesn’t appear we can be very active in the portal.

I wonder if any of our high school guys are forecasted to go in the draft.

If this year is representative then portal and NIL may permanently weaken baseball in the North. aTm has two starters who were stars in Ivy League. Its best player was an All American at Stanford. LSU got Skenes from AFA. Yada yada yada

Talent is moving South. Let’s see if Uhlman can ride that recruiting train.
