As a reminder, Tulane game won’t start until 47 minutes after the Charlotte vs UTSA game ends.

UTSA’s Pitcher Garza is now at 41 Pitches. Charlotte has certainly not made him look like a 5.98 ERA guy.

In the Bottom Half, USF’s new Pitcher has a 7.27 ERA on the season and proceeds to hit the batter on his first pitch.

This should be over fairly soon.

#7 Charlotte 9 - #2 UTSA 5 (12)

Looks like the Green Wave vs FAU will get started at roughly 8:56 PM CT / 9:56 PM Clearwater Time.

I was trying to figure out if the late game was an advantage or a hindrance to going far. The good thing is that either way, we will be the second (of two) games either tomorrow or Thursday.

#3 Tulane 14 - #6 FAU 2 (7)

Welch and Shuffler combined for the 21 outs by putting up a combined 15 K’s. And a whole lot of Offense!

On paper this has to be best case scenario? The other game in our side of the bracket goes 12 Innings (with the #2 Seed losing) and we get the W in just 7 Innings.

#3 Tulane plays #7 Charlotte on Thursday at tentatively 3:45PM CT.

It is Tulane win #32 on the year and the Green Wave have now won 13 of their last 19 AAC games. RPI sits at 95.

While it's probably true of college kids in general, I would think late-night activities would favor people who live in New Orleans. 8)

IF the team goes 4-1 or 4-0 and repeats as tournament champions, is Tulane a #3 seed in the NCAA tournament this time?
Probably so, considering the much better record and RPI
Could be us at 3 and lsu at 2 in the ULL regional.
We'd be a 4 seed. Lft would be a good spot for us.
In our last regional, the Pac 10 Champ (Utah) was the 4 seed.

Apparently ECU lost their ace Yesavage for the tournament. Lung was punctured accidently during some kind of needle treatment. (I'm not medical, so I can not offer an explanation.) No. 2 and No. 3 supposedly have injuries as well.

You are likely correct and we’d be a 4 seed somewhere with a tournament win. The only thing that would bump us is if our RPI shot up over the next couple days but with only 1 or 2 teams that could raise it, I wouldn’t count on that.

I like your idea of Tulane and LSU in Lafayette. That's a lot more interesting than Tulane in BR against some monster LSU team.

Link to story about ECU's Yesavage being unavailable for the ACC Tourney. Unclear the cause of the partially collapsed lung.

On the other side of the Bracket, #8 Rice eliminated #5 UAB, 9-0.

I am going to mentally prepare myself for a published essay/interview by Trent Dilfer on how we all might need to rethink the way NCAA and Conferences have thought about Postseason Baseball Tournaments up until now.

Meep. Meep. #6 FAU 12 - #2 UTSA 5

I love the UTSA Manager’s move to not start his 10-Win 3.26 ERA Ace in neither their opener nor today’s game. Real Big Brain Analytics stuff.

Fun Fact: FAU’s win today helps our RPI since we played FAU 4X vs UTSA 3X.

Massive Opportunity for the #94 RPI Green Wave tomorrow.

According to Guerry, with the UTSA loss we will be the home team for the whole bracket. We were the away team all tournament last year.

I couldn’t remember if home/away was seed based or some sort of a rotation. This answers my question.

The TOP-seeded team in each game is the HOME team. This differs from past years.
