NCAA Recruiting Change
NCAA Recruiting Change
Effective immediately, Mens and Women’s Basketball can have an unlimited number of official visits annually.
Re: NCAA Recruiting Change
Boy, Lisa Stockton got out at just the right time! Unlimited? Can you imagine all that work?

Re: NCAA Recruiting Change
Yet another advantage certainly pushed through for the P2/P4 and their money. Paying for flights, hotels, fancy dinners, etc... At this point they'll hire full-time employees who are in charge of purely running the official visits (somebody has to keep track of the recruit's favorite snacks and make sure there's a basket of it in the hotel room when they arrive, right?). Schools with smaller budgets won't be able to afford that.
Re: NCAA Recruiting Change
Gift packs in hotels have been (temporarily?) banned. The person at Tulane that usually handles that said the NCAA put out a memo saying no gifts in hotel rooms. It sounded like it may not be a permanent decision but they were all told to stop doing it for now.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 1:36 pm Yet another advantage certainly pushed through for the P2/P4 and their money. Re: NCAA Recruiting Change
So....can recruits be given their gift packs enroute to the hotel?

The only thing even in this world is the number of hours in a day.
The difference between winning or losing is what you do with those hours.

I mean… if a gift pack falls off a truck and happens to land near a recruit, that is still legal right?!!Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 2:53 pm So....can recruits be given their gift packs enroute to the hotel?

That plan was perfectly legal for a lot of blue blood football and basketball programs for decades, before NIL even was thought of!waverider wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 6:27 pmI mean… if a gift pack falls off a truck and happens to land near a recruit, that is still legal right?!!Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 2:53 pm So....can recruits be given their gift packs enroute to the hotel?
