This one is for you Pete !!! He chose Tulane over Miami(FL), Bradley, GA Tech, and others. He is from Chicago - He was listed among the top 12 High School prospects in Illinois.

This is now obviously a much different roster than typical Hunter. Great. However I’m keeping my powder dry though about predicting how much this guy plays next season.

Welcome to Tulane, Mr. Cicic.

On edit: my only concern is he is “1000% Committed,”.

what happens when Hunter tells him "don't bother rebounding, it's not important?"

Certainly, some of these recruits don't fit the mold of what Hunter has wanted. They are high end recruits, but there's a lot more size and rebounding in this kid and some of the others than we're used to seeing. At this stage, I'll believe it when I see it on the court but maybe he has finally, finally started to consider accepting that his previous system just doesn't work at this level. I'm scared to hope, honestly, and it seems hard to believe based upon his entire career to date, but you do have to wonder at least a little.

He’ll see a lot of play by Hunter standards, 20 minutes . . . Over the entire season

There is a big difference between highly-rated out of high school and "highly-rated out of high school but transferring after a year or two due to not playing much at the original school" (which happens to be the case for all but like one of these "exciting" recruits).

I'll be very surprised if Mr. Cicic plays more than a few minutes per game, especially after, say, December. There's no real spot for him in Hunter's zone.

Just don’t put him in probability and statistics classes.

This roster is a bit different than we’d expect. What’s next, we hire a defensive guru to install an actual defense? (This actually isn’t a bad idea)

If not for the fact Hunter has been asked about that in TP interviews and specifically said that the matchup zone defense was his thing and nobody was changing it and even admitted that his assistants try to convince him to play other defenses but he steadfastly refuses (yes, his own staff tells him it's a bad idea and he still refuses)...

It's not a bad defense, per se. It can be effective when executed and when used in proper situations. It's the fact he won't even play anything else, no matter time or score.

Seriously, if we learned man defense and a couple of full court trap variations, and then actually mixed it up a little and played what the situation and opponent called for, we could actually be a good team.

Oh, and if we rebounded.

So as of today the roster looks like this -

1. Kyle Greene - 6’2 FR Guard
2. Asher Woods - 6’3 JR Guard
3. Mari Jordan - 6’6 FR Guard
4. Rowan Brumbaugh - 6’4 SO Guard
5. Michael Eley - 6’4 JR Guard
6. Gregg Glenn - 6’7 JR Forward
7. Kaleb Banks - 6’8 JR Forward
8. Kameron Williams - 6’7 FR Forward
9. Tyler Ringgold - 6’8 FR Forward
10. Percy Daniels - 6’9 JR Center
11. Spencer Elliott - 6’10 SO Center
12. Stefan Cicic - 7’0 FR Center

Doc, Randy, or anyone else -

Is this everyone?

Has Greene signed?

Are we going to use 13th scholarship? Are we still actively recruiting anyone?

Not sure of the point of having 3 Centers. Kind of like have 3 channel locks.

Interesting story out about Calipari suggesting he may only suit up 8-9 players because of the way NIL has changed the game.

We'll shock the world and come out in a TRIPLE TOWER lineup! All rebounding!

It is my understanding that Greene, Brumbaugh, Jordan and Banks have officially signed, but I could be mistaken.

In the NIL era, I'd say there's a difference, but not necessarily a big difference, for a guy transferring after not playing for one year. Lot of top schools bringing in "veteran" transfers and playing them over freshmen.
