Michael Pratt to Saints?
Would be nice to see him somewhere in NFL, but playing for Saints would be extra nice (for most of us).

I'm in favor of anyone starting over Carr.

Latest mock from The Athletic has him going to the Falcons at 109 as an understudy to Cousins.
Re: Michael Pratt to Saints?
The Saints don't have enough picks and so many other needs that drafting a QB is extremely unlikely, especially with Carr now extended 2 more years (unless we pull a Payton and swallow the medicine ala Wilson). Their signing of Peterson suggests Haener and Hill will be the backup options in some order. Michael is better off going somewhere with an older, injury-prone QB (say what you want about Carr, he is extremely durable), so Atlanta, NYJ, LAR (both Stafford and Garoppolo are injury-prone), and Baltimore make sense (yes, Lamar is injury-prone and they lost Huntley).
Other possibilities:
Denver - unless they draft one early, which likely means trading up, but don't have assets to do so
Detroit - not sold they will pay Goff, especially if he has a down year
New England - if they trade out at 3, also a good place to learn from Brissett, who is a good leader/veteran backup level QB, and not long-term
Miami - not sold they will pay Tua and he basically goes home

Saints had their chance to swallow their medicine with Carr but instead restructured his contract to basically guarantee he's here at least 2 more years.doncecco wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:02 pm The Saints don't have enough picks and so many other needs that drafting a QB is extremely unlikely, especially with Carr now extended 2 more years (unless we pull a Payton and swallow the medicine ala Wilson). CBS Sports has Michael going to the Cowboys in 3rd round at 87 overall. Cotton Bowl magic!

Re: Michael Pratt to Saints?
With the Saints just signing a fourth QB through free angency (the guy who was originally drafted by the Saints new OC) they are definitely not taking a QB

I didn’t see this posted. Great little video about Pratt. I said during the season that I thought his brother’s death was having an effect on him on top of his physical ailments.

Re: Michael Pratt to Saints?
Not to beat a dead horse, but when Pratt is picked, assuming it's any team except the Saints, please start a new thread here (or in the main forum that will eventually be moved here) for him that will become his "forever thread" rather than retitling this one. I think our best QB ever deserves a thread about his pro career which doesn't have a first page discussing various teams' needs (including stuff not even about Pratt) and where Pratt might or might not fit in.
Hopefully it makes the main page, then this one can be locked and that thread moved here after a while.
