Re: Optics of Realignment & Tulane
Good point. Wish Harris would say the same thing you said. He should be preaching it to the fan base and the national media. It would be a great opportunity to let all Tulane alumni and fans a spark of good news.

Re: Pac 12 Realignment
AD of Memphis met with media today, answering realignment questions: said the deal offered by the "Pac, as I like to call them right now" wasn't a good deal for Memphis, wasn't a good deal for the athletic dept, wasn't a good deal for the student-athletes and was a really bad deal for the...

Very good player. The film on him is outstanding.
Let’s get a big win this weekend and reel in some more commitments. A lot of potential recruits visiting for this year and future years.

Re: TU vs USF
The original odds were way too high. I still think it is too high. I think this is a pick it game. That could change if our defense can play much better.tulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 12:13 pm Spread is down to 5, Total remains the same. Re: Pac 12 Realignment
Unfortunately, I think the current market has players thinking about this at this point of the season. If you play four games, you lose a year. If you are not considered a NFL prospect, a player may want to maximize a NIL deal with another college team before eligibility runs out.

Re: 1/3 way thru the year: Are we a good tackling team?
I agree also. We loss a lot of good players on defense from last year. Dean, Cooper, Machado, Webb, Monroe, Douglas, Pedescleaux, and Robinson. I think it is a combination of factors. New coaches, scheme, talent, speed, and competition year to date. I hope it improves quickly. The figure that has me...

Re: Pac 12 Realignment
Once again we show we aren't a serious institution. I guess we can hope it was Memphis being not-serious, rather than us, who knows. But as LG says this was always more about positioning than money, and given that, I feel it should have been a slam dunk. After everything I’ve read, I have to say wi...

Re: Wave chances for Playoff
In my opinion, this Tulane team with two new Coordinators and Freshman QB has a high of ceiling as anyone because of the upside that comes from gaining experience together in new systems. Scratch and claw to even a one point victory this week, we’ll then have a very soft 6 weeks to get really good....

Re: Wave chances for Playoff
Playoffs, PLAYOFFS! Yup, and we’re going to keep talking about it here. Pretty weird how you are now essentially rooting against our (Tulane’s) interests so you can come to this thread and say “I told you so”. Are you going to be excited if we lose a 3rd game ? How old are you? You sound like a chi...

Re: TU vs USF
This game will be determined by whether our defense can stop them. I don't know how USF's offense compares to ULL but I'd think it's at least equal if not better. Our cornerbacks have to actually cover someone legally and maybe one or twice actually see the ball coming instead of blindly face-guard...

ridiculous officiating aside.. and I'm not calling out the PI calls and whether they were legit, I mean ZERO penalties through 3 quarters and their only penalty being a holding call if you take out the two intentional groundings which weren't judgement calls.. although the ref TRIED to give them on...

Re: Tulane 41 - ULL 33. Wave moves to 2-2.
Yeah. We can pick this game apart. Lots to not be overly happy/satisfied about. But we won, beat the spread. Passing game not the best, but we ran so well, why pass? Coach showed some things we hadn't seen before. Tysom got in for a few more snaps than prior games. Another pick-six by defense. usl ...

It is my understanding Sumrall is ticked off. Are we going to lose another coach over facilities? Seems like Harris has no idea what to do. All of this coming out now. The timing is impeccable as usual.

I wish the geography wasn’t as bad as it is. The travel is a killer unless a couple of other programs close to us get an invite.
Why hasn’t USF been mentioned? Is it strictly the distance?

Looking at the participation chart the past two weeks, the only true freshman getting playing time is Javion White. Is that an error also?

Re: Defensive End
BH, thanks for the update. What’s going with Batiste? Is he hurt? I know he played as a true freshman with Troy last year. We certainly need our edge guys to step up now. The lack of any kind of pass rush could be as much to blame for our 1-2 start as anything else. Any news on Barnes? Will he be ab...

Re: Lose by 15 to Oklahoma
Taysom gets paid $10 million per year as 34? Year old. Peyton turned football on its head by creating Hill’s packages Thompson might make a fifth round draft choice as a TE prospect. If Sumrall can get one to two really successful years of him as Tysom, he could be an early draft choice and make 20...

Re: Lose by 15 to Oklahoma
I don't think ULL is as talented or as deep as OU. You sure? People here seem to think it's close! No one on the board has said Oklahoma and UL have similar talent. What people have said is that UL has talent that has to be respected. The line is 3 for a reason. If you are a betting man, ...
