Re: David Harris Talks to Guerry

Yeah “false hope” probably isn’t something he should have said. He is the head of the athletic department, part of that job (or any ceos job) is inspiring hope and getting folks running through walls. It’s only false hope if you don’t believe you can get the job done. If the alums and students star...

Re: ACC Realignment Megathread

The newest rumor I read today was that FSU and Clemson will be going to the Big12 within a year. I can’t think of any reason why that would be better than the situation they are in. I’m sure they could get a sweetheart deal and likely become the flagship programs for the conference, but on the surf...

Re: Activists file Title VI complaint against Tulane University

I mean, anyone can file a complaint. Winning one is rather a different story, as the filers likely know. They get to be in the newspaper again over it, though, and it does give some marginal leverage for trying to get the suspended or expelled students reinstated. This. Publicity is the flaw in the...

Re: Baseball Portal

It seems like we are very light on pitching. I was hoping for a bigger splash in the portal. This is by far the biggest weakness besides SS post season. Hopefully, the freshmen pitchers can produce 2-3 guys (we signed 5) who are contributors. Same for SS, as we signed 4 high school guys and 1 from ...

Re: Corporate logos

I'd prefer to follow in Penn State, USC or Alabama's footsteps. Do you think they'd ever get caught dead sullying their iconic uniforms with some patch for a MORTGAGE COMPANY or whatever? Aesthetic should be priceless. ...when we fast forward 4 months and Penn State USC Alabama etc. did indeed get ...

Re: Vegas has us at 7.5

I'm not saying we beat ULL, but I am saying that Fritz never went a season in his career without dropping a really bad/unexpected loss until 2023 (the year he then flew out the door), so I'm not sure that what we did in 2022 is a fair comparison with Sumrall. Meanwhile, back to Law's point, if we l...

He's 2 years out. Things are going to change (drastically) by then.

Re: Login Issues

When I tried to login earlier on I phone it said that I have been "permanently banned." I tried later and it worked That’s what I get when on cellular no matter where in the area I am at. It only connects to WiFi for me. I assume that’s a pretty widespread problem which is why there isn’t...

Re: Login Issues

It looks like the “banned” message has been coming up the past week or so and I figured out that it’s only when on cell service. My phone won’t connect unless I’m on WiFi. Sounds like the problem is in your phone... Lol, yes...since he's the only one with login issues, clearly the problem is in his...

Montiel coming in to pitch, with the bases loaded, no outs, T1, trailing 12-3.
Hit batter brings in the 13th run. No 10-run rule in the playoffs.

Re: Regional Sunday vs UC Irvine

UCI batters are coached to "hang in" and not bail on pitches (take the hbp) With conditions like today, it would be a shame if fast balls started slipping right at their heads. That might stop the practice of drawing hbp.

I thought you can't run to first on a dropped third strike if there was a runner on first. But we "forced" the runner coming from 3rd when the third strike was dropped by Tuft. :? :?:

Benbrook can't find the plate with the bases loaded. Walked in one run, flirting with another.
