Interesting to note that our "interlocking T U" are not actually interlocked!

Re: 2025 Recruiting

Drammeh was offered by Georgia Tech tonight. News travels fast when someone decommits. It doesn’t appear many people on this board follow football recruiting. It seems we had more people in past years. Drammeh was actually offered by GT on June 13 per his X account. The news somehow travelled faste...

Re: Ed doing Ed things

A baseball team can get hot, make it to Omaha, then win 4 games and a Best of 3. It's been done by G5 - Fresno and Coastal Carolina. I can't see a G5 winning 3 football games against the elite. A one-time Bowl game, sure, maybe even a 2-game CFP. But 3 games - too much to ask. I may be incorrect, b...

Thanks for clarifying. You aren't alone, but being "unsatisfied" with a 9-3 record sure seems like a high bar to me.

Re: 2024 Football Schedule

I'm not killing a first-year head coach with massive turnover in personnel if he has a winning season. I would call 7-9 is unsatisfied, 6 concerned, losing record disaster. Although it is encouraging as a fan base that there is the expectation for much more than 10 years ago when merely a winning r...

Re: Baseball is AAC Tourney 3rd Seed (Tournament Discussion Thread)

You all are much more savvy about baseball than I am. Can someone please explain the logic of the last Wichita pitch? The pitcher and catcher were both lackadaisical on the play. When the pitcher noticed the runner on third was breaking for home, he quickly threw home (poorly). It wasn't really a p...

Re: NFL Wave 2024 Edition

It's an interesting trivia question rider. Ahead of the Cotton Bowl I did an exercise on how many reigning Heisman winners/players who would win the Heisman that season Tulane teams had beaten. The answer was 0 until Caleb Williams. I think we had only played something like 7 of them, mostly back i...

Re: New AAC Commissioner on Men's Hoops

If they want to act money is the issue, which it isn't, they should just go on the road and save the home guarantees. Of course, last year's schedule was nicely dumbed-down. It's a tired tactic with a 0% success rate and a near 100% "makes things worse" rate. The problem with basketball a...

Re: Sion James declares for NBA draft, Holloway to the portal

Your anger is warranted. These decision to keep him is the fiscally responsible one unfortunately. We aren't a medium or big time program that will lose a lot of money in donors or attendance if he gets another year. That is the reality of Tulane basketball. Where I disagree with this comment, Pose...

Not counting the Super-Regional series a few years ago.

Re: New College Football Rules for 2024

2 minute warning was invented before clocks were readily available to all during a game. Completely unnecessary in 2024. Just what we needed, to make the sport more like the NFL. God this sucks so bad. Something fun and culturally rich just being shat on by the corporate suits at the TV networks. M...

Last article I saw said that the sec and Big10 are likely going to keep pushing for the top two spots to be guaranteed to their winners. Why wouldn't they? Why would anyone even entertain such an idea? Because they can. They will do whatever they can get away with. No interest in fair play or sport...

We manage to end the inning on a double play -- flyout to right field, runner on third scores, runner on second tries to score and is out at the plate. Not a smart play to make out a home with Teo Banks coming up.

He does follow the sport as a whole and has paid more attention to the G5 than most national writers. It does count in that he at least went the extra step to note the conditions of the teams that lost in bowls. Unfortunately, the CFP committee isn’t going to solicit his opinion when it’s time for ...
