Re: NCAA Football 25

I’m still playing 2010 while I wait. I just finished the 2025 season. I bought a used PS3 a week before Hurricane Ida so I could keep playing when my old console died. I’ve been in the Big 12 the past 10 seasons with a couple national championships. Like you, I’m ready for a new challenge. I pride ...

Re: The Current with David Harris interview

Why wouldn’t Tulane pump let’s say a $150M into football? Invest in their own brand. Is it as simple as they think the long-term investment wouldn’t amount to much or even fail? Or is it the philosophy of the University not to tamper with this route due to internal politics? Is it something I am no...

Re: Vegas has us at 7.5

I think we will be a dog to ULL. Most models will have us at 1-2 and just coming off two big games. It'll be our second road game on the road in a row and you know ULL will come to play. While we might get beaten up a bit by K St. and OU, they get Grambling, Kennesaw, and then a bye right before us...

Re: The Current with David Harris interview

Honest question, how many of Tulane's, say, 20 wealthiest alumni live in New Orleans or even close? (I really don't know, but it seems like few?) Yeah, I know it doesn't matter where they live if they write large checks (thanks, Glazers), but it seems like almost all of the big name donors of these...

Re: Ed doing Ed things

I won't honor Ed with a click, on any topic. But my take from reading y'all's summations is this: No crap its more likely we can win a NC in baseball than football, that's been obvious all along. But: 1) That doesn't mean it's likely (it isn't) 2) A top 10 finish in football is a MUCH bigger deal th...

Re: Allegations Against Fritz

Considering many of us feel Tulane tolerates and propagates a pretty bad rape culture in its general population..... (and no, I'm not interested in relitagating those debates). The good news here is both Dannen and Fritz are gone, so this likely won’t “stick” with us. And if y’all haven’t seen, she’...

Re: 2024 Football Schedule

Sorry to be blunt, gents, but this is starting to sound like homers mad that their team didn’t cover the spread. Tulane won. It won every conference game. Its regular season record was a top five best in 130 years of playing football. Sure it won ugly, emphasis on won. I think every one of us every...

Re: 2024 Football Schedule

Maybe the obverse? Tulane went on undefeated in AAC regular season because it was pretty darn good? We didn't really play "pretty darn good". Offensive struggles vs so many bad/mediocre teams. This. We obviously didn’t play well. But also what Pete says. SMU is gone. We’ve upgraded at coa...

I'll be watching the first half of Tulane/Memphis at the Houston airport, and the second half on my phone as I fly back to New Orleans (if I can figure out the technology, if one can even watch ESPN on an airplane....anyone know??). My Negatives: - Corvallis doesn’t have a single good restaurant or really any restaurants open after the game. Del Alma has good reviews and the photos at least.....leave room for hope. Everything else I found on the googles looked worse than the price. Couldn't even find a really solid college din...

A former member of my Tulane tailgate krewe, a lifelong Oregon State fan who has since moved back to Corvalis, is going to be at the game tonight. He also tracked down Nicholls players at the Dairy Queen to quiz them on if they knew me. I was born ten miles from UC-Irving. Life comes full circle.

Re: View of our chances to make the expanded playoff

They gave a lot of credit to other teams for what they’ve done in the past, but not us. While, Im not too worried about this list, I am confused why the heck JMU would be above us. Replacing a head coach and lots of talent is very hard to do for most G5’s. We lucked out with a coaching hire and thr...

Re: Vegas puts Tulane's win total next year at . . .

For many years we were bad and lamented how much more talent and depth our (horrible old CUSA) opponents had compared to us. Even with equal coaching, they out-talented us. When the opponents had good coaches, they creamed us, and it didn't matter if they had a bunch of new players still learning t...

We can beat K St - heck we beat them on the road when they nearly won the Big 12 Championship. Narrator: They did indeed go on to win the Big 12 Championship that year You know, I thought so, but then I thought of TCU beating Michigan and getting trounced by UGA in the CFP, and thought - TCU must h...

Dropped the Tulane kickoff at the 2, which led to the Patrick Jenkins safety and, ultimately, the CB victory. My recollection is he's not the first Tulane alum who's been head of a Central American nation. This is a truly terrible idea, and an admission of permanent basement status by these leagues. I am sure it is driven by ESPN but only further reinforces the urgent and desperate need to move up. I'd like to think this wouldn't have happened on Aresco's watch While I don’t know how much he could do...
