Oh god, I had forgotten about this already. And NIL money is nothing compared to scholarships or direct payments or employment.

Re: Pac 12 Realignment

The path to "maintaining visibility" is CFP berths, not simply playing in a buzzy new conference. People keep saying the PAC gives us a better path to the CFP but I'm not so sure. Even in the PAC, we'd still have to earn a CFP berth by OOC performance and having no more than maybe one con...

Re: First CFP Rankings

Next year? Let's talk next year. Next year we will likely have the #1 G5 OOC schedule strength. We play USA, Northwestern, Duke, and Ole Miss. THREE legit P4s. In comparison, next year Boise plays Notre Dame and no other P4s, not even Washington State and Oregon State. If we win the AAC this year, ...

Re: gonna be a SUNNY homecoming?

OK, let me get this straight... We started a thread about a potential named storm threat and within days the cone moves completely away from us and is no longer a threat. So my question is this: why don't we do this for every storm if we have this power? Clearly the key is that everyone posts in ex...

Re: First CFP Rankings

I think Boise getting a bye and/or winning a game serves mostly just to make them look better for next year, not all of the G5. I'll still be rooting for it, but I think it actually hurts us next year in the sense that it would give them an edge over us in the eyes of the committee/public.

Re: 11/1/24 & 11/2/24: Other Games of Interest for TU’s Ranking

So what happens if Oregon goes on a losing streak? Boise has its 'high' ranking by 'almost' beating Oregon (now #1). If they (Ducks) fall, does that diminish Boise's 'almost' beating them? Would Boise fall as well when/if Oregon tumbles, due to the aforementioned losing streak? As far as the CFP co...

Re: ummm.. there's an MBB game tonight... anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

McNeese lost to South Dakota State last night, so maybe Tulane could have played with them last night. National Freshman of the Year, Tulsa transfer PJ Haggerty, had a huge second half to lead Memphis over Missouri. Tulane was sloppy, as they are trying to fit the pieces together. The next opponent...

I will give one concretr example of Sumrall and staff’s coaching to create turnovers. Tulane has twi DL interceptions this year. I’m simply relaying my feelings of the first half vs the 2nd half. I was very happy with how we handled the 2nd half. The 1st half was terrible to watch (not just Tulane, but also the officials, non stop commercials, injuries). I am always happy to win. It's cool man. I used to get regular beatdown...

Why on the "U"? Probably because temple is terrible. The other games should be more competitive, especially north rexas and army. And each aac team has to get so many games on main channels (I think). Another negative about adding so many teams to the AAC (if it's true that each team gets...

I don't know that it matters...it's not going to be enough to dissuade any school that he would want to leave us for and will in all probability be more than we'd have to pay for anyone we hire.

As has been the case all year, Boise is a Jeanty hamstring, groin, or ankle away from being out of the race. He carries their entire offense (and does it very well), but without him, they're toast. Which will be interesting if that hamstring/groin/ankle injury happens in the CCG. Does the committee...

Re: Tulane 45 - North Texas 37: Wave have won 14 straight AAC Reg Season Games

Even if they recover the onside kick they would have had to score, convert a two point conversion, and beat us in overtime. So the game did not come down to an onside kick. All of which was very much in play until we recovered the kick. Maybe all of those things are a ~50/50 proposition individuall...
