Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
USF has COVID issues and that has led to cancellation of the games vs. the Bulls Friday, Saturday and Sun.

American Conf twitter uses term "postponed" but no word on rescheduling at this point, if at all.
Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
I don’t know if there is a break between the last weekend and the tournament that can be used for make up games.

One suspects that, like they did in basketball, they may do some late-season schedule changing depending upon how many games folks have and availability.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:46 amOur schedule says that the last regular season game is at Cincinnati on May 22nd. Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
I could see that happening if they have a team they think is on the bubble of making a regional.GretnaGrn wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:00 amOne suspects that, like they did in basketball, they may do some late-season schedule changing depending upon how many games folks have and availability.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:46 amOur schedule says that the last regular season game is at Cincinnati on May 22nd. It’s A lot different than basketball though.GretnaGrn wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:00 amOne suspects that, like they did in basketball, they may do some late-season schedule changing depending upon how many games folks have and availability.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:46 amOur schedule says that the last regular season game is at Cincinnati on May 22nd. The only way I see us playing USF this year is
A) if we shuffle opponents which will still result in us missing out on 4 scheduled games.
B) Tulane and USF both have opponents cancel for COVID in the same weekend
I don’t see this being made up in the midweek
Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
May have worked if they scheduled the repeat opponents on the same weekend. If it had been done that way, we could swap USF for Memphis and let Memphis play USF’s partner school.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:25 amIt’s A lot different than basketball though.GretnaGrn wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:00 amOne suspects that, like they did in basketball, they may do some late-season schedule changing depending upon how many games folks have and availability.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:46 amOur schedule says that the last regular season game is at Cincinnati on May 22nd. Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
stetson and north florida had to cancel due to covid...
wonder if there is a way to work the non covid team into a match
Wright state also had their next 2 series postponed. maybe salvage 2 games with someone like this?? probably too hard to do on short notice

Aww jeez, take this to some other thread
Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
There's no way it gets made up midweek. Only happens if one or the other is on the bubble and/or has other COVID cancellations that line up.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:25 amIt’s A lot different than basketball though.GretnaGrn wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:00 amOne suspects that, like they did in basketball, they may do some late-season schedule changing depending upon how many games folks have and availability.visualmagic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:46 amOur schedule says that the last regular season game is at Cincinnati on May 22nd. Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
Bbbbbut there's no COVID in Florida! Cheerleader said so!
Nevermind the millions of high school and college kids who have descended on the state in the past month for Spring Break. I'm sure that had nothing to do with this whatsoever.

Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
I'm sure the AAC is all about testing the wrong people, getting the results wrong, and having teams pay for travel and lodging for canceled games.
So just so I get this straight, you are saying that no one should be tested unless they have a fever?
Re: Tulane vs. USF series cancelled due to COVID
I’ve been saying that for over a year. It’s like going to a doctor and asking him to run tests for no reason.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 1:14 pm
