I have a ton of respect for the USMA and its team. My cousin is a graduate and is currently a colonial. Very proud of him and the Academy. That said, I'm tired of hearing about their vaunted defense and how tough it is to attack.

Now compare how SDSU and Northwestern did against us compared to how they've done against others.

We've had two horrible games, one good except for 8 fumbles, and one good.

Edit to add: and we're talking about Army's game notes, right? Do you expect anything other than propaganda from any team's game notes?

Sorry, BN. I didn't read the Army notes. Just talking about discussion around here and used this topic. Yes, game notes are team-driven propaganda. I don't really care about your good games...merely pointing out if your D has been thrashed by 2 MAC teams, we should be capable of same. Will we? Who knows - recent history suggests otherwise. Have to break that to get where we want to be. I'm sure you understand

Sorry to hear Joe Bailey broke his leg last week. He is a great kid from both my son's HS. (Mike Gann went there also). I had just spoken to Joe's parents and he was looking forward to his senior year then his service.

Good luck the rest of the season AFTER Saturday.

Completely understand.

Both of our teams are seeking (positive) consistency.

I only watched the first half of the BSU game, so Bailey being carted off was unfortunately one of the things I saw. He was in obvious pain, but also obviously po'd about having to leave the game.

Thanks for the good wishes, and I send the same thoughts your way.

I have respect for Army because alums like Beat Navy who is a top-drawer guy, and because the Army cadets will come up to the line of scrimmage when they are losing 45-3 and play as if they were winning -- down to the last drop of blood.....

I watched some of that game. Army didn't stop Ball. BUT, Army got killed by 2 15 yard penalties: one chop block called back a touchdown and they missed a chippie field goal; the other moved them out of field gold position.
We can't count on 15 yard assessments against Army.
