Interestingly Wein and I guess Quint Davis too made a horrible business decision in organizing the Jazz Fest as not-for-profit. When live Nation and others started rolling up concert promoters they would have paid a lot for ownership.
It is not as epically bad as john Bogle missing out on tens of billions of dollars by initially organizing Vanguard as not for profit
I know it’s hard to believe but the one percenters can do too much tax planning.
