RIP Jerry Jeff Walker

Post by AO Sig »

Leader of the lost Gonzo band succumbs to throat cancer.

I remember seeing Jerry Jeff in McAllister Auditorium; "Pissin' in the Wind," Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother," "Jaded Lover" and "Mr Bojangles" are all songs that were a part of my time at Tulane. There were a number of brothers and little sisters in my fraternity from Texas and Oklahoma, and they introduced me to outlaw country music; Robert Pospick, John and Beth Bovaird, Jeanne Bonner were among those who educated me on Waylon, Willie and the boys.
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?
