He needs to “reassess his wife” and the “situation of being with her” as part of the reason.

Didn’t see this before posting in the formerly named for a former fan former player and coach forum.

ULL promoting their co-oc, Desormeaux, to head coach. Honestly their offenses never seemed that great to me, but maybe he is a great recruiter and can build on the Napier foundation. It seems very much like a move to save the current recruiting class. It also looks from the outside like making the safe play a la Memphis and sliverfield

I'm sure that they think Desormeaux is a good coach, which he probably is, and they want to bottle-up what Napier did. Napier had a great staff and Desormeaux will need to do the same.
I could tell Napier was a top-level coach in that bowl game against; we should have won by 30, but it we didn't put them away until 5 minutes were left.
I hope he does well.

All-in move from Miami. Recruiting is Florida is going to get nuts.

Oregon needs to give up on coaches with Florida connections. They should go grab Justin Wilcox from Cal

Cristobal can recruit his ass off, but he's good for at least one WTF loss every year. The best coach in that division is Narduzzi, and that by a wide margin.

As for Manny Diaz, his protracted humiliation these past few days was well-earned.

Narduzzi lost to Manny Diaz and Western Michigan this year with a QB who broke all of Dan Marino's records. Want to talk about someone who's good for head scratching losses every year. Narduzzi is not the best coach in that division, and certainly not by a large margin.

His record at Pitt

8-5, 6-2
8-5, 5-3
5-7, 3-5
7-7, 6-2
8-5, 4-4
6-5, 5-5
11-2, 7-1

This is kind of a funny back and forth because there aren't many sitting Coastal coaches you can even advocate for. The choices are Narduzzi, Mack Brown, and Geoff Collins. The other 4 jobs turned over this year. Fwiw I would take bronco Mendenhall, no longer at uva, over narduzzi if only because until this year narduzzi refused to stop being a defensive coordinator in a head coaches body. If they can keep the offense wide open for than one year, I will change my mind about that

Speaking of Narduzzi, he just lost a 3* guy from Tampa Fl. Wesley Fritz follows him on Twitter.

Yeah if you're including new hires I would take him for recruiting prowess alone. That and his awesome o line coach.

Mack 15 years ago? Sure. Mack now? He's gone 7-6, 8-4 and 6-6 at UNC in his second stint. This year UNC was preseason #10 with a Heisman candidate QB and finished 6-6. Mack won't be coaching in 2 years.

Ed Daniel's favorite Frank Wilson quits McNeese to return to LSU as bagman associate head coach.

Thinking back on last two Tulane coaching searches, is there anyone who you think we really missed on?

You conveniently left out that he took over a team that had 2 wins...and had them ranked in the top 5 his second year. And has a top 10 recruiting class (currently). If he's not coaching in 2 years, it's because he doesn't want to be coaching. He's still the best coach in that side of the conference.

I know it’s the monolithic mainstream media and it’s difficult to distinguish any differences among them, but to be precise, isn’t it Fletcher M. who carries water for Frank Wilson?
