Heck yeah, I'd take that! My first Tulane game was in 1969 at old Tulane stadium where we hosted Notre Dame, with its 300 lb DT Mike McCoy. As a an 9 year old, I could not believe my eyes when looking at that weight in the program. I would be happy to go to South Bend for a rematch!gerryb323 wrote:Notre Dame to host Marshall in 2022

That was our Homecoming game, MN.

Why not a home and home?

Because they wouldn't give it to us? Money or 2 for 1. But why Marshall?windywave wrote:Why not a home and home?

We had a rematch with Notre Dame in South Bend in 1971. Had them on the ropes at halftime. The place was awful quiet. We losr 21-7. We were 3-8 that season. The Golden Domers didnt see that coming.

How about a Home and Dome, with Notre Dame taking the lion share of the Dome proceeds, and still paying us for the away game? They might go for that. Something similar was supposedly discussed in the late 90s or early 00s and never came to pass. With the catholic population of New Orleans...... (and ND has stated interest in playing one away 'home' game most years)

Isn’t ND scheduled to play a “home” game in the Dome? I know there was talk of it but I don’t know if it came through.WaveProf wrote:How about a Home and Dome, with Notre Dame taking the lion share of the Dome proceeds, and still paying us for the away game?
