Do you know how badly I wish the Dolphins would get to the Super Bowl by a fluke or by any means? Re: NFL Draft
Duke Riley drafted in 3rd round by Atlanta (who blew a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl).

Re: NFL Draft
DB for UCF (Griffin) just got drafted. Comment by McShay (maybe) "if you look at his tape against Tulane in November you can see why teams would draft him"
Yeah, we were passing juggernauts last year!

Re: NFL Draft
Through three rounds the AAC has 6 picks. The Big 12 has 5. Would love to see the conference finish with more overall picks than a P5.

Re: NFL Draft
Well in case anybody was wondering, here are the draft picks by conference. Of note, the SEC had over 20% of all selections. The AAC also ended with more picks than the Big 12. I hope that's a sign that the talent in the AAC is getting to the point that we warrant inclusion in the playoff picture.

Re: NFL Draft
ESPN listed Big 12 as 5 in picks. When asked by someone in a question about the AAC, they pointed out that the B12 had more "picks per school" than the AAC (1.4 vs 1.25). I guess there is a logic there. But interesting that 3 or 4 years ago when the B10 had more "picks per school" than the SEC, the headline was still "SEC has the most picks again"

Re: NFL Draft
The response to that ought to be which conference produced more valuable picks? There are a few systems for measuring this but the general idea is that the higher the pick the more value. Big 12 had 4 picks in the 7th round. American had 0 after the 6th. Point is, we produced more valuable picks. Using the average treats 7th rounders the same as 1st rounders.

I agree Windy. The one thing I love about professional sports is competition (internal and external).

30% of the draft picks come from G-5 conferences.

Good point. One of the sec's picks was Mr Irrelevant.tulaneoutlaw wrote:The response to that ought to be which conference produced more valuable picks?
