I admit I know nothing about the history of this matchup, but why does Navy play Notre Dame in Jacksonville, Florida?

ND is trying to play big neutral site games across the country.

They give up one home game a year to play in a large venue elsewhere with unique uniforms. It's called the Shamrock Series.

They play Army in San Antonio this year in the Shamrock Series.

Notre Dame has never played at Navy. When Navy is the host the game is played at various stadiums that can accommodate the crowd.

They do. Navy wins, Notre Dame is 3-6. Brian Kelly, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

The September injury to Navy's starting QB might have been the making of their season
