Epic!!! Cobra Kai!

Another team victory!

Hey Coach Dana,

Let me know how that taking the ball first in OT works out for your job security.

May this be the start of something with Horton. Hats off to the D again. It wasn’t their fault they got worn down and they kept us alive.

Where was this team last week? Well played by the D...still wish we had a little more pressure from the D-Line. Horton played better than you would expect for not getting any reps during the week. He throws a nice pass. Great play by the rb's picking up blitzes.

I'm in complete shock!

Some great, gutsy play calls late. Really odd that Houston took the ball first. Horton really came through down the stretch with some really nice throws. Gutsy effort.

The defense has done a yeoman's job. I am the first to admit that I did not expect us to have a chance to win when I saw Houston take the lead in the fourth quarter.

I hope Ibieta recovers quickly; but I certainly feel a lot better after seeing Horton's incredible performance!

GUTSY bounce-back win. Every reason to fold and, finally, after a blown lead and with a third string qb get it done!

As impressive as last week was depressing. I’m all for never playing UH again and may they finish last in the Big 12 forevermore and amen.

I've personally thought Horton should be 2nd string for a while, but understood why he wasn't. After tonight there should be no doubt.

I feel tonight like I felt when Shaun King had to come in without having worked the first team.

I don't disagree, but we need to have two reasonably healthy QB's. The announcers made it sound that there was no one else on the bench when Horton put his helmet on.

I was accepting the close loss with the 3rd string QB*. Glad I was wrong. Spears for President !!

I don’t think we have a QB controversy, but I think we have a QB after Pratt leaves.

When Ibieta got hurt, I told my wife that I was working at home and watched Horton in the Texas championship high school championship game and he’s a legit QB. He proved me right.

The cameraman homed in on Haggard when Ibieta went down, so there was some sense that he was available ahead of Horton.

Horton finished 11-21 for 132 yards and 3 scores with no picks. It wasn’t always pretty but very impressive for a freshman third string QB playing on what appeared to be a bum leg.

Did you forget?
Justin got us down to the 5 when he got hurt.
Missed FG.
He had moved the team well.

One of the gutsiest wins I can remember.

Defense played their azz off.

Horton played like a veteran down the stretch.

Feel terrible for Ibieta. Hope it isn’t serious. He can play.

Congratulations to the staff overcoming last week and the injuries this week. Great effort by Willie and the staff.

Screw the Big 12.

Screw the Houston cougars.

And a big Roll Wave!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wooohhooooo!

Hope none of the neighbors call in a wellness check on me because I was running up and down the street in my socks jumping up and down (trying not to wake the baby)!!! Unbelievable!!!!!

Trying to listen to the postgame on iHeart but “I’m currently outside the approved territory to stream this play by play event.” I was able to listen before so I wonder what’s up :-/

After a week to prep vs coming in cold? Puhlease.

His arm seems to be average but he makes up for it with patience and accuracy. He moves well in the pocket without being the runner the other two are. I'm not calling for a QB controversy but his passing ability into coverage making decisions gives us something Pratt hasn't shown. As you well know prat is 0-2 in OT with two ints. Horton is 1-0 with clutch TD. Where do we go from here?
