He’ll get a fat “NIL” check from these schools don’t worry about that.

Appears Jeff visited LSU
I was just about to post the pic and say I was wrong. I was going to wish him well, but that pic changed that
He looks like a duck. A big duck but still a duck. Embarrassing for him.

Likely more than Tulane but less than NFL minimum salary or he’d be aiming for that.

JJ announced today that he’s “officially a Sooner”. I hope he does well. OU fans on Twitter seem pretty pumped up about it. One even mentioned his dominance on their OL this season!

In other news Safety Larry Brooks announced that he was returning to Tulane for his final year of eligibility. I thought that was a given anyway.

Good for Jeffrey. It would have gone against the grain to wish him well in Baton Rouge, to put it mildly.

I'm glad he didn't go to LSU. That's a big vote of confidence for JJ. Ou just hired Venables who is thought of as a defensive mastermind. I doubt he would take a defensive transfer if he didn't think the talent was there.

As another observation, when JJ put out on Twitter he was visiting OU, he had 50 positive comments in half an hour. I didn't track likes or retweets. When recruits tweet out about a Tulane offer or visit, I don't think they get nearly as much love from our admittedly smaller fan base.

And what is even more shocking is that more recruits than you think use that as a gauge in their decision making. Several Tulane recruits this past season after visiting were asking/looking for love. For some, no love means no commitment. No love for me means I don’t want you if you need my endorsement. So ridiculous. It is like kids not getting enough “likes”. It is a crazy azz world we live in today.

Maybe not our value system, but certainly a sign of the times. I have always felt a more vocal fan base would improve the overall experience for everyone at Tulane.

At least we don't have a whole topic about not tweeting at recruits

Congrats to Mr Johnson for planning to take his JYA year in Norman. He gave us four years and most importantly has his diploma. May he prosper greatly in his future and have a tricked up new F150 courtesy of NIL to impress all his new Soonerette buddies at Oklahoma

Maybe thinking if he plays with the "big boys", and looks good, he'll draft higher in nfl.
