Came accross a ticket stub from that game on ebay for $475. I'm thinking that not a single LSU fan will be interested in purchasing that item. :-)

It's been on there for years at that price. There's another one from the same game for less, I think about $175 ish. I would love to have one from that game, but that's too rich for my blood and apparently the market bears that out given how long it has sat.

Foley was QB for that game? I thought he was injured that game. Wasn’t it Terry Looney who threw the TD at the end of the 1st half?

I was there and never get tired of watching this video. I had a fist full of LSU doubloons commemorating 25 years of dominance over Tulane and have no idea what happened to them. I do, however, have a seat from the old stadium with a brass plaque with the details of the game. My wife had it framed under glass and it hangs in our den. Thanks for posting this. It is a breath of fresh air after a disappointing season.

Hey Outlaw, the tickets from that game are still for sale, and from looking at the images of both, the one for $175 is in much better condition than the one for $475.

There were 86,598 in attendance for that game. My family accounted for 3 of those.

My future wife and I were there also as students… Suffered through a lot of Razzing over the previous years from a number of LSU fans, having grown up in NO. It was a very sweet victory on so many levels…thank you for the post. Shared it with my kids, they may never fully understand my dedication to the Wave, but this clip may help.

Steve came in doing "wipe up" duties. Played at end when game was out of reach.

Around the 11:20 mark, I'm in the crowd under the south endzone goalpost.

Here's a short clip showing Bynum's 53 yd run and Lassiter's score making 13 - 0.
