Had dinner at the original Dreamland. The white bread with sauce was good. Pork nachos were also good. Slab of ribs was delicious. Sides of okra, baked beans , mac and cheese and fries were enjoyed by all. So Pete if you ever get in the area again try the original location.

Glad you enjoyed it.
I saw the team practiced at Alabama's indoor facility yesterday, I'm guessing that was not open to the public...

Tweet from Ross Dellenger and article from SI. Looks like we'll be in Birmingham for a bit, but not the whole season hopefully.

#Tulane officials expect to be in Birmingham for 4-6 weeks and are preparing to play home games at Legion Field.

Campus was spared, but the city is wind-torn & powerless - a blacked-out minefield of debris.

Birmingham is a lot closer for me to drive; might have to head past Chattanooga for a game!

Honk when you pass thru. I'll follow you to some games.

I was doing damage assessment at Tulane today for work. My first assignment was the building were I went to class for 5 years. In general, the campus is not too bad off.

Great story.
Amazing that we hold a running contract with the Birmingham Sheraton to take over the whole hotel when New Orleans is not habitable. Loved the line about pets. 8)

I have a special love/hate feeling for that hotel as it's where I took my Professional Engineering exam about 19 years ago! ("hate" because the test is miserable, "love" because I passed)

Entergy energized some lines near the Claiborne area of Tulane’s campus tonight.

Slow progress is being made. 95+% of Jefferson and Orleans are still out.

Looked all around for mystery X. Can't find one. Looked all around before I asked. Guess I should have just edited to "oops". Removed all prior comments - not appearing 7 times. Not good st editing and all. Not much of a user, more of a browser.

I think playing the UAB game at home sounds doable. Not a full game day experience mind you, but a scaled down version like the Memphis. Playing at Legion vs UAB would be a decided disadvantage. If it were vs a team not from Birmingham it would be different. However, its really whatever the coaches an players want at this point. I am not arguing for Yulman from fans perspective, but a competitive one.
