Memphis Series
Re: Memphis Series
Memphis is an embarrassment to AAC baseball. And what the hell was FedEx thinking. I guess it was their version of the stimulus check.
Re: Memphis Series
Memphis is bad as St. Louis and Cincy were circa 1997 or 1998.

I watched UH play texas and they looked good. They’ve clearly gone downhill

We are still a team capable of playing like we did against Grand Canyon. I'm as excited as anybody to be on a heater with a chance at the postseason, but we need to be taking this one game at a time. The time to enjoy sweeping a series, winning a conference title, or making the tourney is after it happens

Re: Memphis Series
Is there any other bulletin board in America that has as many unemployed athletic directors posting as we do?

Still a long way off from Jewett proving to be a great hire. He’s inching towards “not bad”Luvs da Wave wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:49 pm Is there any other bulletin board in America that has as many unemployed athletic directors posting as we do?

Actually, they have to prove they are that team all over again just like they had to prove they weren't the team from the Grand Canyon series.tulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:06 pm We are still a team capable of playing like we did against Grand Canyon. Re: Memphis Series
We took care of business. Not our problem how bad the opponent is as long as we whip them and we did. Let's stay focused and kick Houston's butts and then we'll get to see us face a tough opponent. Looking forward to it.
We deserve so much better

You're kidding, right? I don't go on Droppings, but judging from my FB feed after Manieri blew Saturday's lead, they would definitely outdo us in this category.Luvs da Wave wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:49 pm Is there any other bulletin board in America that has as many unemployed athletic directors posting as we do?

FW,
Speaking of 1997 or 1998, What I am afraid of is TU winning the regular AAC conference championship, but because of our bad RPI, we not be selected into post season.
PS: It does feel GREAT though to see TU win again, lets hope it continues this week first with Houston.

Re: Memphis Series
It's possible. 1997, when that happened, the field was only 48 teams, and we also got Maestri-ed.CletusRelm wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 9:33 am FW,

Re: Memphis Series
1997 and 1998 were 48-team tournaments, not 64. But still keep winning.
Also, in 2005, the CUSA Conference RPI was 6th.
Today, the AAC Conference RPI is 6th.
