I missed the DH both live or on ESPN+. I see the clip though of Aviles' "perfect" bunt yesterday everywhere. He even got an rbi out of it.
One question: I know the circumstances were initially confusing to all but the Tulane runner on third once he realized the ball was fair ran on the infield turf for 20 feet or so before returning to the baseline path to score the run.
I'll defer to you folks with more expertise here: what was the deal with that? Thanks.

Aviles didn’t get an RBI on that. No run scored on that play

Re: Question on TU Baserunning Yesterday
the only guys running on the infield "grass" were Memphis defenders. Tulane base runners were on first and second when "bunt" was laid down. When play ended the bases were loaded with Aviles on first base and TU's other guys advancing one base each to second and third, respectively.
Re: Question on TU Baserunning Yesterday
thanks. I looked at it again. It was the Memphis third baseman that ran home to cover it. Smart play but why he stepped on home is beyond me. As I said it was a confusing play including I thought tulane was wearing the normal whites for home teams.
Well AA doesn't have to worry about me taking his job.
