Morgue comment made my morning. I bet it would work, too.

Unable to attend due to the impending wedding of my son. Tickets bought and turned back to the Ticket Office for their gifting to those who want to attend the game, but are unable to buy tickets themselves. So I will have surrogates in attendance.

For those of you going to the Cure Bowl I have two wishes for you: 1) enjoy yourself, and 2...more important) be safe and careful in your travels and always be aware of your surroundings.
And I also have one request. Bring home a victory. Roll Wave.

Re: Are you going to the Cure Bowl?
I am excited to be going.
Did Tulane sell a whole section of its best seats to a broker (to try and recoup some of the allotment)?
I called 861-WAVE and as a decent donor/ticket holder the seats they offered me were at the 10 yard line for $50 each.
I called and the Cure Bowl folks and they said Tulane had also gotten the three sections more towards midfield. Those couldn’t have already been allotted to Tulane fans and staff? Are we traveling that well?
I ended up buying seats from Ticketmaster for $50 each in section 132 towards midfield.
I would have preferred to spend the money directly with Tulane but the location is much better.

With nearly 200 hundred signing up for the tailgate, it sure seems like we're going to have a decent amount of green.

Forecast for Orlando now down to 40% chance of morning showers on Saturday. Highest chances on Friday begin at 5PM with 30% chance or less during most of the day. Maybe those of you getting in today or early tomorrow will have decent weather to partake in planned activities.

In my ticket pack from Tulane were "Beat ULL" stickers. I guess I'll have to wear one this game. What do I tell our friends from the University of Lafayette (Southern campus not the one on the Delaware River in PA)?
Did they forgot to notify Wilson Building?

Re: Are you going to the Cure Bowl?
I try to be cordial and refer to them as Cajuns. (I try not to ram “ULL” down their throats)Baywave1 wrote:What do I tell our friends from the University of Lafayette (Southern campus not the one on the Delaware River in?
But if I get bombarded with “UL” or “Louisiana”, the snark in me will come out and I might feign confusion by stating we aren’t playing Louisville or asking which Louisiana they represent - the one in Monroe or the one in Lafayette? (They are both equally Louisiana and less so than the original UL!)
Re: Are you going to the Cure Bowl?
Glad you're coming. FWIW the apparent sections assigned to Tulane are in the graphic at the bottom of the linked page and run the opposite direction from 132.QuarterbackU wrote:I am excited to be going.

Just guessing but 132 is probably a seating section for local Orlando bowl fans/supporters/sponsors and ULL folks were assigned the other side of the stadium.
Re: Are you going to the Cure Bowl?
I'm for playing ULL (not faux substitutes) in anything, anytime, anywhere. UL as its board and the legislature/governor constantly remind us is a "University System" not an individual college. UNO spent decades getting out legally from the heavy hand of being second class to LSU. It didn't do it to become ULL's self-proclaimed hand maiden. If nothing else, as a New Orleanian, I'm looking out for my home team in the UL System.BC Wave wrote:I try to be cordial and refer to them as Cajuns. I thought we were supposed to put the Beat ULL stickers on the back of unsuspecting Cajun fans.
Re: Are you going to the Cure Bowl?
Pretty sure I just saw our band headed to the airport. I’m right behind em!
