I don't think I can help with either extreme. But I think a win on saturday could go a long way toward helping you find a happy middle ground.

Umm, we play 13 games this year, and if we do happen to go 11-2 (not very likely), then we will have played 15 games in all this year. So if it is wishful thinking, you might as well say we'll be 13-2.

There ain't no middle ground. It's either the peak of ectasy or the depths of depair. That's what happens when normalcy is not established and a program vacillates between occasional (sometimes unexpected) wins and the usual losses.
