It will be up to Fritz to hire the next OC who will know how to utilize the talent.

Of coarse and I dont see him going spread, but how many other OCs have 6-8, maybe more TEs on the roster? With so few WRs.

Is he sitting year out in transfer portal? You folks are awfully cryptic.
I believe he's playing right now. Says he'll be a grad transfer. Also offered by Colorado, USF, Virginia, among others
Thanks. I guess transfer portal use is evolving. At first it seemed if you entered transfer portal, you immediately left team. That confused me here.

Now I guess some coaches are treating it like applying for grad school as a senior. Your current life continues. Interesting. Plus Lamar is an FCS Southland Conf school and the guy clearly wants to test FBS waters openly. No secret recruiting here

What would Fritz do if say one of his current players started “applying” to SEC schools?

He's fairly active on his Twitter, but I don't see any game film from this year. Looks like he posted some practice work and then announced the transfer. He may actually be taking a redshirt before graduating in December. Would mean he could be here for spring practices.

There has been a lot of recruiting news, none of it good, but I will just stick to LA -

4 star RB Marlon Gunn from Scotlandville has commitments to East Carolina

3 star DB Corey Lambert from New Orleans has committed to Nevada

3 star DB Lorenzell Dubose from Monroe has committed to La Tech

On Krewe of ‘22, there was a mention that the OT Bless Harris from Lamar visited and a shout out to Jhamal Shelby. Would be two nice pick ups.

I’m hoping that we can hold onto some of the kids we have committed. I’m sure other schools are pointing to our season and saying that we can’t sustain success to convince kids to flip.

We certainly can't sustain success if all of our recruits flip!

Fritz mentioned that this bye week would be spent recruiting. I’m hoping that we get a commitment or two before the next game.

Former 4* WR from Rummel Koy Moore is reportedly entering the portal at lsu.

I put this here since it’s technically recruiting related for the next class.

4* CB Jordan Allen from Louisiana has recommitted from Penn St. Would be a long shot, but would compliment Canady pretty well.

Maybe planning on committing to lsu when Franklin gets the job. :?

Dutchtown OL Ethan Fields who lists himself as 6’4 315lbs is visiting this weekend. He recently visited Purdue where he has been offered.

He has a 3.4 GPA

DeCarlo Donaldson picked up offers from WVU and Florida on October 28. He visited Florida twice (unofficially in September). He’s having a great season. I really hope we can hold onto him.

Count on losing Donaldson. We got him early and he’s been looking at bigger schools. Haggard might stick with it

They are still in the sec and have a much higher salary cap.

Speaking of recruiting, I’m hearing we may have a shot at a couple good OL. I don’t know names.
