Re: ECU

Most of his injuries have happened in the backfield because of the very poor OL play. It started this season with the massive hit while in his throwing motion against Alcorn St. by an untouched rusher. I get that people want to see him slide but he does slide sometimes. He slid against Ole Miss and...

Totally agree on both counts.

Of course the former is massive low bar syndrome.

Re: ECU

Who decided he has PTSD? You? Well not literally - call it whatever you want, but if you don't think his pocket behavior has changed since about the Ole Miss game to now, you haven't been paying attention. He's taking all the unnecessary hits by tucking and running (and not sliding/going out of bou...

Re: ECU

Yeah, my bad, I meant Howard. But if Fritz is going to claim Pratt is a "gamer" and turns it on in games, I'd say there's pretty decent evidence Horton may be the same, no? Meaning if practice is what's keeping him 3rd string (or 2nd with Ibieta hurt), but Pratt's practice performance does...

Re: ECU

Pratt is clearly our #1 QB, but if injuries are prohibiting him from being Michael Pratt then he must get healthy. Ibieta and Horton are quality backup’s, but they are not the #1 guy. To me the question is above Pratt's neck, not below it. He can be 100% physically healthy but still be so wrecked f...

Re: ECU

Pratt haters That would be exactly zero Tulane fans. That was admittedly a short and cheap term on my part because I was already in the middle of a run-on sentence and didn't want to make it worse by writing out what I really meant. What I really meant was, if Horton were to play and make some rook...

Re: ECU

Even a loss to ecu isn't the end of our season. We can still get to 9-3. Although I'm sure it'll spell doom & gloom here. All depends HOW we lose. If we lose by clearly showing we can't actually defend a pass-happy team, then we are looking at more likely future losses and there is cause for co...

As long as they don't cut in with split screens and soccer audio every time USA is close to scoring, amiright? :green wink: Seriously, I don't know why Tulane people are upset unless they are planning to attend in person (which most, I'd venture, aren't)... watch whichever starts first live, record ...

If it makes anyone feel any better (I know, it doesn't), but it seems most of sportsdom feels how we do about the Judge cut-ins... there is a thing going on social media where people are taking clips of historic sporting events and cutting in right before the crucial play with footage of Judge being...

Re: 2022-23 College Football Coaching Carousel

Leipold might realize that at Wisconsin he won't have a chance at the conference championship with Ohio State there and then Michigan. At Kansas he can win the conference regularly and be in the playoffs most years. He won't be playing 5th fiddle to basketball though. He keeps winning and filling t...

Re: Tulane/Cinci Moved to Black Friday

Personally I want a Noon game (ET) because I love tailgates with breakfast food, and it's more likely to be a bit warmer in Nippert between 12 and 3 (daylight throughout) than 3 to 6 (that time of year the stadium would be in shadow, then dark, probably after the first quarter). Last time I had a gr...

Re: ECU

ECU leading rusher missed last week and is week to week with injury. Second leading rusher blew out knee last week and is out for the year. So they're going to pass, pass, and pass. Probably were going to anyway, but this surely reinforces it. Hope we're up to it. While I expected Houston to be a r...

Keep winning and it's a feature game on ABC, to be watched by millions of bored people with the day off.

Don't keep winning and it's still watched on ESPN by millions of bored people with the day off.

Not bad!

Re: Wave wins! Wave wins!

After we beat them and King and others quit, I remember someone here saying Holgerson historically liked playing 22-and 23-year olds, and redshirting like crazy to have an experienced, mature team. Perhaps that doesn't work in the portal era, or perhaps he just isn't a good coach, but he's certainly...

If we beat ECU we'll be favored in every game the rest of the year except Cincinnati and maybe UCF. And I'll believe we're good enough to beat all those teams (and depending on how we beat them, maybe even the other two as well). If we lose to ECU the only game we'll definitely be favored in is USF....

I just put "Tulane" into the search (magnifying glass) and it always finds it. There are the football games, volleyball matches, heck, there are still highlights from our conference games against Houston last year.
