Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

I thought this may actually fit the title of the topic, maybe it deserves its own thread. Lsu supposedly is tampering with Patrick Jenkins and he is a done deal to transfer. This would be a massive blow. https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/lsu-recruiting/so-the-rumor-is-that-tulanes-patrick-jenkins...

He doesn't have to explain himself here, but as someone who has known Kelly for years, and considers him a good friend, he will never stop being a Tulane fan. He's been one since birth.

Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

The thing that bothers me most is how Tulane is selling "we've changed, we're committed now!"... and then this. We stepped up and paid Jon Sumrall. We FEASTED in the transfer portal when Sumrall got on campus. Ultimately , Sumrall has a budget and gets to decide the way to allocate funds ...

Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

so, who is going to Houston exactly? Kelly Comarda, founder of FTW, former Tulane baseball player, bled green and blue. He was doing FTW for free. Willie offered him a big check, he stalled and gave Tulane every chance to even offer him a fraction of what Houston offered. Tulane offered a fraction ...

Re: I guess we all have a price. Fear The Wave Collective Defection.

First they came for our Coaches, I did not speak out because I was not a Coach. Then they came for our active Players in violation of Rule #36, I did not speak out because I was not a Player. Then they came for our Fear the Wave Collective NIL Leaders (TU23)… At this point, I fully expect to see a ...

I think the point is to complain loudly/irrationally.

Re: 2024 Football Schedule

I also dislike the midweek games, it distracting from working, cuts out alumni who normally travel for weekend games, makes pre-game hard and leaves a feeling of being “left out” of all the fun on Saturday. I actually also like the Black Friday home game too. Nobody races out to stores anymore, so ...

"Tulane seeks Facility", New Orleans Times-Picayune, January 18, 1992. My parents used to get the TP in the mail (days late) when I played and scrapbooked every story about the team. I have this article in my scrapbook. I actually took a photo of it and have it on my phone, and could shar...

In an ideal world we'd have a new arena, and in an ideal world we'd need 7,000 seats. Right now I just want to win, whether we're playing in Reilly or Rupp Arena.

Marget is going to have a BIG year. He looks like a lefty Mark McGwire. Coaches are also really high on Brock Slatten. We're going to have a lot more power than last year.

Re: MBB 76 SMU 80

It might be time to move on from Hunter, but it doesn't matter because we're not moving on from Hunter. All we can pray for is that we get enough talent that'll cover up his deficiencies. That's going to be hard, because unlike football, basketball NIL is not where it needs to be.

Basketball is done, let's talk baseball

I'll admit, I'm not plugged into the baseball team like I was 15-20 years ago, so you all are going to need to help me out. Schedule is a lot easier, which is actually welcome after last year. Still some solid games though. Banks, Linn, Marget are up there with anyone in the league No idea about pit...

Re: Tulane 81, #10 Memphis 79

No game thread or chatter at all. Maybe that's the secret. Our first win over a ranked team since 1999 right? I really love beating Memphis. Feb 12, 1983 was graphic shown as fans stormed the court. Also Memphis. That was last win over a top 10 team. Last over a ranked team was over NC State in the...

To be fair, on paper Darion Monroe is the biggest recruit (rating) since they started doing ratings, so it’s a low bar (no offense to Darion, he was a stud).
